2 day course suitable for anyone reasonably fit with a love of the outdoors and a moderate head for heights. As the hill walker becomes more adventurous they will often want to go to places that require more specialised techniques. This course is for those who are interested in learning how to move over steep rocky ground safely. The course covers using a rope in a simplified manner, route finding, equipment choice, navigation and guide book interpretation. This will provide the basic skills to build on as you explore the classic rock scrambles.
The course is delivered by members of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI).
Courses are held in the Lake District or North Wales.
