Summer hillwalking day Cairn Gorm and Ben Macdui.
The Cairngorms are vast plateaux above huge cliffs, dark corries and long passes. To the east of the famed Lairig Ghru pass are two of Scotland's highest mountains - Ben Macdui and Cairn Gorm. From the ski centre up to Carin Gorm then out to Ben Macdui and back via Fiacaill a’ Choire Chais. During the walk visit some of the sites of the high plateaus boths and the remains of the Commando shelters. A long day out in a speculate area.

The course

A day of guided walking up the high peaks Cairngorm range.
Our groups are small group led by an experienced leader with a good knowledge of the wildlife, flora and geology.
Option to extend an extra day to bag more Munros.
Moderate / Strenuous mountain days.

Winter Cairn Gorm and Ben Macdui.
The winter is properly the best time of year to walk over these mountains. In winter when the cliffs are at their most impressive. Where the ptarmigan in their winter plumage and snow bunting bound around. Winter also makes for tricky navigation, so let one of our guides do the hard work for you to reach the summits of these two impressive Munros.

We will look at uses of ice axe, crampons, snowshoes, navigation, snow structure and weather.

Option to extend an extra day to bag more Munros.
